Integrated Hybrid Antenna design, aggregating multiple communication channels, such as GSM 3G UMTS or 4G LTE, V-SAT Ku or Ka band HTS and since 2017 also L Band.
IP Connectivity Application for Iphone IOS and Android. Choose your way to be online – no matter where on earth.
The first satellite Internet service offered to customers in Europe was not a two-way service, but a one-way or dial return satellite Internet service. One-way service works by using a phone line and a modem for the uplink part of the connection and a satellite link for the download.
One way satellite Internet is often cheaper to set up not including the required line costs for the uplink. While the performance of one-way satellite Internet is similar to that of the two-way service, the one-way requires a local return channel for uplink.
While the Downstream receive, channel is getting conducted via a geostationary satellite, the upstream return channel gets operated by either 3G UTMS or 4G LTE GSM Networks, or L-Band narrow band Satellite channels.
Such Receive only terminals cause much less hazzel in certification and cost significant less then V-SAT 2-way communication systems.
VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) describes a small terminal that can be used for two-way communications via satellite. VSAT networks offer value-added satellite-based services capable of supporting the Internet, data, video, LAN, voice/fax communications, and can provide powerful private and public network communication solutions. They are becoming increasingly popular, as VSATs are a single, flexible communications platform that can be installed quickly and cost efficiently to provide telecoms solutions for consumers, governments and corporations.
The benefits of VSAT technology are being realized in many sectors, both private and public.
VSATs have been in use for more than 30 years and, with already millions installed all over the world, VSATs are a mature and proven technology.
The simrack server technology allows us to not require any more the presence of a physical simcard in one of our GSM modems built into our hardware devices. The simcard gets hosted in one of our Simrack Server Banks, from
where it does get assigned “On Demand”. By assigning a virtual instead of a physical simcard, extremely high cost savings can get achieved and roaming barriers do get broken down.
Over years our traveltronic customers and we ourselves have been working successfully with the following solutions:
Thus, our Billing Portal system has become a popular fundament of all our solutions.
Here we can offer our customers a secure and reliable way into the Internet; this is made possible via all of our roaming agreements and the teleport we can avail off.
Billing can be realized very transparent also for the customer directly or automatically.
Thus the user has the advantage that he can control cost completely and that extra charges of his crew or his subcontractors can easily be filtered and communicated so that they will not be imposed on him. In addition to that our customers can offer the benefits of free Wifi with our HotSpot system to their guests for 30 minutes free of charge which they in turn can get by SMS-voucher, Facebook-like or voucher-printout.
Most of our customers as well as users are very familiar with this system already for this is common use in hotels.
In 2006 we decided to build our own teleport as due to the bad experience on the IP side with various 3rd party teleports. These certainly do have expertise in SATCOM, as they work mainly in TV Broadcasting. But their knowledge in IT is very often quite limited.
We decided to operate all our core platforms and premium space capacities ourselves.
Nevertheless, we do have found a way to clever integrate 3rd party teleport operators in various geographic regions of the world.
The following pictures do document the installation of a 6,2 meter antenna at our teleport:
